ABOUT MUNI

I grew up in Damansara and have lived most of my life in the city of Petaling Jaya. I earned my BArch in Architecture from the Glasgow School of Art, Scotland in 2013. I have since worked and developed my expertise at small-scale design businesses, in addition to undertaking freelance design assignments and photography as part of my interest in extreme sports-related recreational activities.

I have spent the last decade as a designer working in a fast-paced environment, where I was responsible for executing design duties independently on commercial retail/F&B, residential, and modest remodelling projects. This includes supervising construction work till completion, from sourcing materials such as fabrics, tiles, furniture, and lighting to overseeing the building of the finished product. Additionally, I have demonstrated my ability to use a wide range of computer-aided design (CAD) and photo-editing applications.

Aesthetically, my design reflects the contemporary vernacular architecture of Southeast Asia, integrating elements of the Bauhaus motifs and a play of colours and patterns around the spaces.

When I am not creating, I enjoy surfing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, callisthenics and strength training, running, hiking, and yoga. Considering my background as a visual artist, it is only natural that my interests extend to the performing and visual arts as well, including music (especially heavy metal), cinema, and literature.
